abstractAbstract(#br)Radical scavenging principles of 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH) radical were isolated from the seeds Cassia tora L. Assignments of the 1 H- and 13 C-NMR data showed the active components to be an anthraquinone, alaternin and two naphthopyrone glycosides, nor-rubrofusarin-6-β-D-glucoside (cassiaside) and rubrofusarin-6-D-gentiobioside. Alaternin showed more potent radical scavenging, effect than the others.
